Fiction series published on Kindle: the Outcasts

UKjktAnthony Haynes writes: Our main engagement with creative writing is to publish books about creative writing, rather than creative writing itself (to the extent that one can make such a distinction).

We have, however, made one exception: we publish a series of novels about a nomadic cricket club called the Outcasts. The novels are written by Alan Haselhurst (aka Member of Parliament for Saffron Walden).

To date, we’ve published two such books ourselves — Accidentally Cricket and Unusually Cricket. Fatally Cricket follows this autumn.

In addition, we’ve republished three novels previously published by Queen Anne Press: Occasionally Cricket (in hardback and as an e-book) and Eventually Cricket and Occasionally Cricket (both as e-books).

Publishing those three as e-books wasn’t entirely straightforward, since no digital files existed. It has been, therefore, a matter first of scanning and then converting files — not the ideal way to create e-books. We’re pleased CPI have been able to do this for us.

I’m delighted to announce that all five of the titles in the series to date are now available as e-books from Amazon’s Kindle store: http://www.amazon.co.uk/s/ref=nb_sb_noss?url=search-alias%3Ddigital-text&field-keywords=alan%20haselhurst&sprefix=alan+%2Cdigital-text&rh=i%3Adigital-text%2Ck%3Aalan%20haselhurst.
