Enjoy four talented poets from the East of England reading their work against the beautiful backdrop of the Ouse Washes, and be one of the first to get their copy of the eagerly awaited poetry anthology produced for WWT Welney, Words for Wide Skies.

Free event, but booking is advisable to avoid disappointment.

About the poets:

Elaine Ewart
National award-winning poet and Fenland Poet Laureate 2012, Elaine continues to perform her poetry around the country and organize poetry events. She is studying the MA in Wild Writing at Essex University and is also a volunteer at WWT Welney. Follow Elaineʼs poetry blog at: flightfeather.wordpress.com.

Leanne Moden
Leanne is a poet, writer and blogger from Ely and is Fenland Poet Laureate 2013. Her poems have been published in collections by Forward Press, Bonacia Press, Leaf Books and Deadbeat Press. Follow Leanne at: www.tenyearstime.blogspot.co.uk.

Jeremy Solnick
Jeremy has had his poems published in Magma and received a commendation in the Ver Poetry Competition. He was a solicitor for 25 years but is now being re-educated as a teacher. He is currently doing an MA in Creative Writing at Essex University.

Melinda Appleby
Melinda is a landscape/nature writer and poet, alongside her work in conservation and agriculture policy and practice. She won Country Living’s Best Writer Award in 2011.
