Practicing writing: the Stephanie Vanderslice interview

Practicing Writing is a blog written by Erika Dreifus, a former teacher of writing and the author of the short-story collection Quiet Americans (Last Light Studio Books, 2011).  Today the blog carries an interview with Stephanie Vanderslice, based on the publication of Rethinking Creative Writing and covering Stephanie’s thoughts on, and hopes for, creative writing programs in higher education.

It’s a delightfully open, wide-ranging interview – and of course we’re delighted to read in the preamble that Erika finds Stephanie’s book “thoroughly researched, beautifully written, and altogether important”.
