Information for librarians

Obtaining information and publications

We provide bibliographical records for our all publications via Nielsen Book Services and to Bowker. This information is then fed through to library suppliers, from whom our titles will be available.

Library suppliers and aggregators for our  e-books include Dawsonera, Ebooks Library, Ebrary, Ebsco, Gardners Digital Warehouse, and MyiLibrary.

In North America, our print books are printed and distributed to the supply chain by Lightning Source. Elsewhere, they are distributed by Central Books.

Classification and identification

Please note that for e-books our policy is to allocate separate ISBNs for each format. Our ISBN prefix is 978-1-907076.

The standard codes for our titles are as follows:

  • BIC subject category: CBV
  • BISAC subject heading: LAN005000
  • Library of Congress class: PE1404
  • Dewey no.: 808

Our dialogue with librarians

We regularly consult librarians on the development of creative writing as a discipline and the needs, preferences, and behaviour of their users in the area. We learn a great deal from this dialogue.

To inform us about library sector developments more generally, we are pleased to use Clare Crowley (King’s College, London) as our regular consultant.

If you would like to contribute ideas or information, do please contact us.
